Resourcehip Ltd ("Resourcehip", "we", "us") is registered in Scotland, United Kingdom (Company No. SC873386). We publish independent material resilience ratings for consumer product categories and licence the HIP Mark trust mark.

1. What data we collect and why
Analytics
We run no client-side analytics. This website deploys no analytics beacon, tracking script, or measurement pixel. We collect no behavioural or visitor-tracking data through your browser, and no personal data is collected for analytics purposes. No cookie is placed on your device and no consent is required.
Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider, processes standard connection metadata (including IP address) at its edge to deliver and protect the site, as described in "Third parties" below. This is infrastructure logging inherent to serving any website — not a Resourcehip analytics product.
Contact enquiries
If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we collect your name and email address to respond to your enquiry. We retain correspondence for 12 months, then delete it. Legal basis: Legitimate interest.
Business and licensing enquiries
If you enquire about HIP Mark licensing or a product rating, we collect your name, business name, email, and enquiry details. We retain this for 3 years. Legal basis: Pre-contractual steps / legitimate interest.
Form submission metadata
When you submit either web form, the IP address of the submission is recorded and included in the enquiry we receive, for security and anti-abuse purposes. It is retained with that correspondence and deleted on the same schedule. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (security). Form submissions are delivered to our UK mailbox by Cloudflare (see "Third parties"); no submission is written to a website database.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card details, sensitive personal data, or government identifiers. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools. We do not sell your data.
2. Cookies
This website does not use cookies. We run no analytics or tracking that would set a cookie. No cookie consent banner is shown because none is needed.

No other third parties receive your personal data. The UK–EU adequacy decision was renewed in December 2025 and remains in force until 2031.

You have the right to: access the data we hold · correct inaccurate data · request deletion · object to processing · data portability · lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).

5. Data security
Our website is served over HTTPS. We do not store personal data on local servers beyond what is needed for correspondence.

This policy is governed by Scots law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
